Welcome! I’m Marcos Vilchez, a dedicated martial arts instructor based in London with over 30 years of experience. My journey in martial arts began with a fascination for the art of movement and self-defence. I hold a black belt in JKD-Kali and am honoured to trace my lineage to legends like Bruce Lee, Dan Inosanto, and Bob Breen. I’ve achieved an apprenticeship instructorship under both Bob Breen and Daniel Lonero, further deepening my expertise in JKD and Southeast Asian martial arts.
My martial arts adventure started with several years of training under Norman Morrisson (RIP) in Shaolin Kung Fu. This foundation instilled in me a profound respect for discipline and tradition. I expanded my skills with many years of Wing Chun, which taught me the intricacies of close combat and fluid movement.
For over 20 years, I’ve trained in JKD under Bob Breen, mastering techniques and philosophies that have shaped my approach to martial arts. I also pursued extensive training in both boxing and Muay Thai, honing my striking abilities and developing a well-rounded fighting style.
I continuously challenge myself by actively training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Fabio Prado, embracing the art of grappling and ground techniques. Currently, I’m studying Pencak Silat, a dynamic and versatile martial art that enriches my understanding of diverse combat forms. My journey is a testament to lifelong learning and a commitment to personal growth.
