Wing Chun

Wing Chun contributes structure and sensitivity: centreline control, economy, and hand-fighting that transfers into JKD and close range.

What it is

Wing Chun is a principle-based art: centreline, economy of motion, structure, and sensitivity.

What it develops

Hand-fighting, forward intent with control, and the ability to read pressure through contact.

In practice

Structure drills, sensitivity work, and integration into modern sparring and clinch contexts.

How we train it

Training background

My Wing Chun includes training with UKWCKFA, plus time with Kevin Chan (KAMON) and Sifu Francis Fong.

Private instruction

Some of my Wing Chun was developed through private training that I don’t publicly disclose, out of respect for those teachers. What matters is the output: clean structure, sensitivity, and practical application.

How we train it

  • Structure: stance, elbow position, and centreline control.
  • Sensitivity: touch-based reaction and pressure reading.
  • Transfer: integrate into JKD hand-fighting, boxing entries, and clinch framing.

How it fits the system

Everything is trained for transfer. We pull the highest-value pieces of each art, then test them under progressive pressure. You’ll see how this range connects to the full continuum: awareness → timing → contact → control.

Holistic outcomes

Skill builds confidence. Confidence builds boundaries. Boundaries build calm. Calm makes skill usable.

Next step

If this art is your entry point, we’ll map a training path that connects it to the rest of the system.
